Licensing Information for Intune
- Youโll need licenses for a SKU that includes Intune to provide MDM functionality. This includes Enterprise Mobility + Security (E3|E5) and Microsoft 365 Business Premium (E3|E5).
- Licenses come in two forms, User licenses and Device licenses.
- [Zip Console Supported] User licenses are fully featured and allow each user to enroll up to 15 devices in MDM
- [Not Supported] Device licenses forfeit some advanced features and require one for each enrolled device, and are not valid for user-driven enrollment
- If you are unsure what licenses you have, visit your Microsoft Admin portal. If the table includes
Enterprise Mobility + SecurityorBusiness Premium Licenses, you will be able to complete the Zip <> Intune integration. You may still need to follow the instructions below to procure additional licenses to enroll devices.
Please reach out to your onboarding partner or success@zipsec.com if you have questions about Intune licensing. Our team can also stand up a Microsoft tenant on your behalf if you have not previously established a corporate Microsoft tenant.
